The Eagle Valley Squadron’s goal is to acquire this Cessna O2A/337, from our Commemorative Headquarters in Midland, TX that is up for assignment.

This Cessna 337 was selected to replace the O-1 Bird Dogs in Vietnam in the United States Air Force in 1966.  They did some minor modifications to incorporate under wing weapons mounts and weapon release systems, it was sent to war in Vietnam designated 0-2A.  It’s an all metal, high wing, retractable gear aircraft incorporating twin tail booms and an engine mounted at the front and rear of its fuselage pod.  There were a total of 501 of these delivered to the USAF.
