CAF Meeting Minutes
Eagle Valley Squadron
Red Wing, MN
10/21/08
6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
Officers Present: Ken Hilton, Kent Smith, Tom Blue, John Althaus,
Barry Hammarback, Dave Carlstrom
Officers Absent: Gary Range
Others Present: 9 CAF Members
Minutes – It was moved by Ken Hilton and seconded
by Barry Hammarback to approve the minutes of the Sept. 23rd
meeting. Motion was unanimously approved.
Finance Report – checking & savings has total of
$1,106.35.
Air Show for 2009 – Decision was made to wait until
Memorial weekend 2010 to have the major air show. Not enough time to
get funding etc. We decided that we would have a dance,
car show, some planes, maybe RC, Reenactors, kids events, fire dept
completion instead on Saturday May 23, 2009. Motion moved by
Barry Hammarback and seconded by Dave Carlstrom.
Squadron Airplane – Barry is doing some research on
regulations & rules of flying and having a plane.
Officers nomination & election – Ken Hilton, Kent
Smith, Tom Blue, John Althaus, Barry Hammarback, Dave Carlstrom,
Gary Range. Barry Hammarback moved that the nominations were closed
and Kent Smith seconded it.
Other – Look into having a Hero’s Dinner
maybe Nov. 7th, 2009 – Vietnam/Korea era
Christmas Squadron get together – Dec. 6th – will look into a place
and let everyone know.
Next meeting Reminder – Tuesday, November 18th 6:30 p.m. for CAF
officers & all members or prospect at American Legion/VFW in Red
Wing.
Meeting adjourned – Motion moved by Barry Hammarback and seconded by
Ken Hilton.
